Fall Festivals, Fresh Starts, and Finding YOUR Way

Fall Festivals, Fresh Starts, and Finding YOUR Way

Hey there beautiful,

Can you feel it? The mornings are cooler, the leaves are just starting to turn, and the smell of fresh-baked pies is in the air (thanks to all the fall markets popping up). Around here, that means one thing—fall is officially in full swing.

I don’t know about you, but between running after the kids and getting ready for the local harvest festival, life feels a little bit busier right now. Isla’s been all excited about the pumpkin patch, and Theo is keeping me on my toes.

It’s that time of year where everything in the community shifts a bit, and I can’t help but notice how that same feeling spills into my business.

Just like the seasons change, our businesses go through ups and downs too.

Some days, it feels like everything’s falling into place, and other days… well, it’s like trying to juggle farm chores and a toddler’s nap schedule.

But here’s the thing I’ve learned living in this small farming town: just like the crops, your business needs time, patience, and care to grow.

And sometimes, you’ve gotta roll with the seasons and trust the process, even when it’s messy.

Here’s how I’m staying positive while everything is shifting:

1. Take stock of what’s working: As the leaves start falling, I’ve been thinking about what’s actually working in my business—and what I can let go of (kind of like when you pull out last year’s winter coats and realize you don’t need half of them). What’s lighting you up right now? What’s been bringing in the results? Let go of the things that are no longer serving you. You don’t need to hold onto everything just because you always have.

2. Lean into your “why”: When life feels a little all over the place, I find myself coming back to my why. Why am I doing this? Why did I start this business in the first place? For me, it’s about building something that allows me to be present with my kids while creating a life I love. What about you? When things get tough, your “why” can be the light that guides you through the uncertainty.

3. Celebrate the little wins: It’s easy to overlook the small stuff, but honestly, the little victories are what keep us moving. Did you send that one email you’ve been avoiding? Launch that product you’ve been working on? Or maybe you just managed to juggle it all without losing your mind. However big or small, take a moment to celebrate it! You’re doing better than you give yourself credit for.

I know it’s tempting to rush through this season, especially with the holidays right around the corner, but let’s slow down for a second.

As the markets open and the local festivals kick off, I’m reminding myself that this season—just like in business—is about growth. It’s about letting go of what’s no longer serving us and making space for something even better.

The truth is, just like the changing leaves, your business is going through its own season of transformation. It’s okay if everything feels a little messy right now. Sometimes, the mess is where the magic happens.

You’re doing amazing—even on the days when it feels like you’re just keeping your head above water. Keep going, friend. 🍂
